As I read on the story and characters feed off and complemented each other, making this one of the most complete and structured books I have read in some time. The mixture of animosity and sexual tension is great right off the bat. Jack and Cameron come together again after three years (they had worked previously together on a case that ended badly, look for 'misunderstanding' here) because of a murder Cameron "ear-witnessed". The characters supported the storyline and vice versa. Usually I can separate a book into character driven or storyline but with this one I can't. I felt the need to share all this fanfreakingtasticness with you all. So occasionally I read other books that I don't plan on reviewing and occasionally it just so happens that one of these books turns out to be fanfreakingtastic.
